The name "Morgan Sindall" probably won’t ring many bells for us here in Australia but it is the UK’s BIGGEST Construction company. They began in 1995 and have completed 1000’s of infrastructure projects across the United Kingdom in all sectors such as:

- Roads.... just to name a few
Morgan Sindall is organised through five businesses of Construction, Transport, Tunnelling, Utility Services and Design to deliver their projects each with subdivisions of each business. hah! you're right! how similar are out companies! I wonder if there is competition between the companies? I searched for opus international vs morgan sindall but nothing came up haha! Are you happy with the company you got Renae? Opus is right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't actually thought of researching their "competition" however I did mention it in my BLOG. I actually am happy with the company - as I stated in my blog I was maybe wanting a closer company to my field of expertise (or soon to be expertise) such as Leighton's (only because many of my clients here had shares in Leighton's so it may just be the familiar). But its all learning and quite interesting :-)

Its funny tho because I was hoping for Leighton's and when I saw the name I got excited until I saw Cass next to it (same surname!) They are very similar in ways of construction however Morgan Sindall have not gone down the mining industry path the way Leighton's have - but they are interesting to compare.
DeleteVacation week is NO vacation --- sooooo much work to catch up on doing 4 subject and unfortunately this subject seems to take so much of that time... but it is interesting :-) Good luck in the next step of this!!
